Event Recap
A Snarky Affair | Rewriting The Script On Marginalized Voices
In partnership with Greenlit and Red Wall Productions, we proudly presented A Snarky Affair: Rewriting the Script on Marginalized Characters during Tribeca 2025, a night dedicated to radical visibility, creative disruption, and unapologetic queer storytelling.
The evening featured dynamic conversations with industry trailblazers including Snarky’s own Neal Ludevig and Vishaal Reddy, along with Adina Luo, Dezi Gallegos, and Chandni Sharma Modi.

Mia Renee Henry: History-Driven Storytelling With a Gamer’s Imagination
Mia Renee Henry grew up “all in the family” of entertainment. “My dad was one of the first Black cameramen ABC hired back in ’78,” she recalls proudly, noting that her mother writes screenplays and a cousin directs indie films. That lineage opened doors, but her path has been anything but conventional.

Concept to Cosmos: Drew Leung’s Journey From Hollywood Illustrator to Story-Maker
For more than two decades Drew Leung has been the secret weapon behind blockbuster worlds—one of the “top concept artists in the industry,” as he puts it. His paintings shaped franchises like Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and last year’s Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, but something was missing. “I’d spent my whole career illustrating other people’s ideas,” he says. “My ultimate goal is… I want to tell stories, that’s it.”

Meet the Interns Who Are Helping Snarky Shift the Script
At Snarky Elephant Productions, we don’t do busywork. We build stories that shift culture. As a mission-driven film and media company based in Brooklyn, we champion underrepresented voices and unapologetically challenge the status quo. Our internship program is more than just a resume booster, it’s a proving ground for the next generation of fearless creatives.
This summer, we’re thrilled to introduce two powerhouse interns who embody the spirit of Snarky: Ava Mingo and Hannah Tsai Kim. Their talent, voice, and vision are already making waves in the work we do, and we couldn’t be more excited to have them join our team.

Snarky really pushed me to write my script. Not identifying as a writer, it was such a mountainous task, and they really helped.

Having a diverse crew brings such positive energy. It sets the tone from the 1st minute that you're there, through post. We saw its impact everywhere, with different perspectives and from different cultures, ethnicities, genders, and sexes.
